The Dominican Republic has a warm tropical climate. The average temperature during the year is 27/28 °C. Nearly everyday is sunny and you can enjoy the beach all year round. The period with heavier rainfalls is usually May/June and the hurricane seasons lasts from the 1st of June until the 30th of September. These events are usually found at the moment of their formation and so it is difficult to predict beforehand their strength and direction.
